Series description

Education Research in Global Contexts publishes cutting-edge scholarship in the field of global, international, development, cross-cultural, peace, and human rights education. Welcoming interdisciplinary work, the series connects education theory, policy and practice in the political, economic, and social contexts shaping - and shaped by - global social change.

Connected to the Global Education Colloquium, the series highlights the work of distinguished and emerging scholars on education research, policy and practice in relation to education access, equity and quality. It includes, too, contributions from renowned education leaders and practitioners to connect globally engaged research to education teaching and policymaking around the world.

The series provides readers with access to innovative teaching resources for their undergraduate and graduate courses. At the end of each book, a concluding chapter features links to additional teaching resources such as discussion questions, suggested readings, further publications, virtual talks, and more. With no other book series on global education currently designed for use in university learning spaces in this way, this series is a truly innovative resource for anyone looking to make an impact in the classroom and beyond.
