16 - 17 May 2019
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND
After a three-year hiatus, Advances in Management Accounting (AIMA) is bringing back its World Conference on Management Accounting Research. It is designed as a small, unique research conference held on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula. The small size of this conference allows for discussion and debate among plenaries, presenters and attendees.
The conference will include thought provoking and interactive plenary sessions by global leading academics including:
Kenneth Merchant - University of Southern California
Anne Lillis – University of Melbourne
Murray Lindsay – University of Lethbridge
Concurrent sessions will be held both days with ample time for authors to present their work and for authors and attendees to engage in discussions about the strengths
and weaknesses of the papers. Additionally, these sessions provide a forum for broader
discussion about a paper’s impact on the chosen topic and higher-level implications for management accounting research.
The Monterey Peninsula is located on the scenic central California coast and offers the following attractions:
Tours of Monterey wineries
The majestic Big Sur coastline
Award-winning Monterey Bay Aquarium
Pebble Beach golf course
World-famous 17-Mile Drive
HYATT REGENCY RESORT
Situated above Monterey Bay, Hyatt Monterey offers a complete resort atmosphere complimented by the dramatic scenic beauty and unique charm of John Steinbeck’s Cannery Row.
